We are pleased to announce our participation as a title sponsor of the 1999 Mobil 1 World Ford Challenge. The Challenge is the largest and most exciting all-Ford cruise, show and drag race. It will be held May 13 – 16 at the state of the art, "Stadium of Drag Racing," Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. The drag race will feature 9 Heads Up classes and 3 Bracket classes racing for a guaranteed purse of over $100,000.00.

The Challenge includes the Super Ford Magazine Auto Show Spectacular with 400 vehicles competing in over 70 judged classes and the Super Ford Cruise with over 500 cars participating. Over 30,000 Ford fanatics are expected for this year’s event. One of the major magazines had this to say about last year’s event- "This looked more like an NHRA national event than a single marquee race." Five major magazines will be covering the Challenge along with ESPN 2 and Speedvision.

We are sponsoring the bracket racing segment of the Challenge. The Perma-Cool^® Bracket Challenge consists of two separate bracket races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, with 3 dial in brackets competing for a guaranteed purse of $22,650.00! Reversing Hi-Performance Electric Fans

All Perma-Cool^® Turbo Flex^® Electric Fans are reversible so they can used as pullers (for mounting behind the radiator) or pushers (for mounting in front of the radiator.) All Turbo Flex^® Electric Fans are pre-assembled and shipped as pullers.

Converting a 12", 14" 16" or 18" Turbo Flex High Performance Electric Fan to a pusher fan is now easier than ever. To convert the fan to a pusher, remove the fan blade assembly by carefully sliding the retainer clip off the end of the motor shaft. Now slide the fan blade assembly off the shaft and flip it over. Re-install the fan blade assembly by sliding it back onto the motor shaft. Slide the retainer clip onto the motor shaft to hold the fan blade assembly in place.

Wire according to the wiring schematic in the installation instructions. The black wire is the (-) negative wire and the red wire is the (+) positive wire. Verify that the air is flowing in the correct direction. If not, reverse the motor wires.

New Maxi-Cool™ Installation Kits

Installation Kits are now available for our Maxi-Cool™ Six Pass and Dual Circuit Oil Coolers!

The Maxi-Cool™ Transmission Cooler Installation Kit, part #107, includes 2 four foot pieces of high pressure, high temperature 11/32" oil hose, brass fittings, heavy duty oil cooler mounting brackets and all necessary mounting hardware. When installing a Dual Circuit Oil Cooler simply order both kits. Order Electric Fan Wiring Kit with 170º Thermal Switch part #19001 to wire the 10" Electric Fan Module.

The Maxi-Cool™ Engine Oil Cooler Installation Kit, part #108, includes a universal sandwich adapter with patented adapter bushings to fit engines with the following thread sizes: 3/4"-16, 13/16"-16, 1"-12, M18 x 1.5, M20 x 1.5 and M22 x 1.5. Also included are 11½ feet of high pressure, high temperature ½" oil hose, brass fittings, heavy-duty oil cooler mounting brackets and all necessary mounting hardware.

Perma-Cool^® Weld Bungs & Fittings

Are you a builder of custom radiators, custom gas tanks, or for that matter any tank that needs to have a hose attached? If you are, look at our large selection of Perma-Cool^® Aluminum Weld Bungs. Perma-Cool^® Aluminum Weld Bungs come in both male and female styles. They have a lip for easy welding and they are NOT anodized.

Perma-Cool^® male weld bungs have a 37° taper and come in AN-6, 8,10 and 12 sizes. Perma-Cool^® female bungs are available in 3/8 or 1/2 inch pipe thread as well as AN-8 and AN-10 sizes. To finish up that tank check out our Aluminum Radiator Necks and Radiator Caps.

Don't forget we also carry a large selection of AN Adapter Fittings in male 1/4" thru 3/4" and AN-6, 8, 10 and 12 sizes. AN Adapter Bushings are available in AN-10 and AN-12 sizes and come with a 1/8" female pipe thread center hole. They are designed for sending units for fluid temperature, pressure, etc.

All Perma-Cool^® AN Adapter Fittings and Bushings have an undersized hex so you can fit them closer together and come with an anodized finish.
