Gary Speiginer Joins Perma-Cool® Management Team as General Manager!

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Gary Speiginer has joined us as General Manager. Gary is a native born Southern Californian where he grew up within hearing distance of the old Riverside International Raceway. Gary's hobbies and interests include restoration of his '52 Chevy coupe, high performance "tweaking" on his cars, and he is an avid Apple Geek!

After a five year enlistment in the U.S. Army, Gary started his career working for large aerospace firms. Over the years, Gary has worked on numerous Defense related programs and held positions ranging from Systems Analyst to Quality Program Manager and Quality Assurance Director. Using his entrepreneurial skills, Gary developed an ISO 9000 consulting business and has been instrumental in assisting both large and small firms in their Quality Systems development and implementation activities.

Gary earned an undergraduate degree in Business and Management from the University of Redlands. A few years later, Gary also earned his Graduate (MBA) from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. In addition to his normal duties as the General Manager, Gary's background and certification as an ISO 9000 Auditor will ease the "paradigm shift" as Perma-Cool's QS 9000 compliance nears our Fall '99 target date. As the globalization of products and services unfolds, Gary's 25 plus years of experience in manufacturing environments makes him an important member to the Perma-Cool® team.

Additional Management Staff

Mary Ann Hernandez has joined us as our Quality Assurance Manager. She comes to Perma-Cool® from the component/computer distribution industry where her last position was Assistant Production Manager. Mary Ann feels that she has her own "MBA" (i.e. My Best Achievements) as it relates to raising her family! Her interests include reading and gardening. She enjoys all sports.

Bert Middleton has joined Perma-Cool® as our Public Relations Manager after a successful career in the communications industry. He has en extensive drag racing background and is on the crew of a national event winning Top Alcohol Dragster. Some of his other interests include his blown '27 Ford roadster and he is a dedicated Delorean fanatic.

Thermal Switch #19005 Wiring Update

There are two changes to the installation instructions for our Electric Fan Adjustable Thermal Switch Kit part #19005. The first change involves allowing the electric fan to continue running after the engine is shut off. This is accomplished by tapping the wire from the #1 prong into the wire that connects the #3 prong to the power source. The tap can be made at any point in the wire between the prong and the in-line fuse. Refer to illustration A.	A
The second change involves using the thermal switch to control two electric fans. This is accomplished with the addition of a heavy duty 30 amp relay, part #19002 or equivalent. Wire the power leads from both electric fans to the load prong on the relay. Next, wire the switch side of the 30 amp relay to the #5 prong on the thermal switch control module. Refer to illustration B. Recent factory shipments include revised installation instruction sheets. Additional copies of the revised instructions are available on request.	B

Perma-Cool® promotes sales by keeping our name and our products in front of potential buyers. You probably know that we sponsor individual racers and, in some areas, sponsor local racing series. Here are some of the other ways we build sales:
Retail Ads & Promos:  Perma-Cool® ads are appearing bi-monthly in Stock Car Racing magazine. 73,000 Perma-Cool® decals are part of the August issue of Super Ford magazine and another 70,500 Perma-Cool® decals are part of the September issue of Mopar Muscle!
Honorable Mention:  The June 12th issue of National Dragster has a press release on our spin-on oil adapters and remote oil filter mounts. The August issue of Stock Car Racing has a press release on our Aluminum Competition Oil Coolers. The August issue of Rod & Custom has a press release on our new Pre-Oil Adapters. September's Chevy Truck magazine shows our Headered Competition Oil Coolers.
Trade Ads:  Perma-Cool® promotes Jobber sales for our WDs with full page color ads appearing in DCI's Performance Today and with regular ads in Specialty Automotive and Performance Racing Industry magazines.
