Perma-Cool® Oil Coolers Are The Best Oil Coolers Money Can Buy! Here's Why

Material: The superior heat rejection rates and overall lightweight of aluminum make it the best alloy for oil cooler construction. It is true that copper attracts heat at a faster rate than aluminum. Copper's disadvantage is that it retains the heat for longer periods of time. The reason that some companies use copper tubes is because it is easier than aluminum to work with during the soldering process. If copper was really a better material for oil coolers, why are the coolers made with copper tubes and aluminum fins instead of using copper tubes with copper fins? Pound for pound, aluminum is the best metal for oil coolers, period.

Durability: Perma-Cool® Oil Coolers feature our special thermally cured, aerospace epoxy construction. Additional Features: Our oil coolers include multi-barbed tube ends, where applicable, for positive hose attachment. These machined aluminum ends are more expensive than the tube ends of other oil coolers but they assure a solid seal between the oil hose and the cooler. All Perma-Cool® Oil Coolers include corrosion resistant black powder coated or zinc plated universal mounting brackets for secure vehicle attachment. Perma-Cool® Motorsports Sponsorships for 1997!

We have been busy putting together our 1997 motorsports promotional program. Our goal is to increase our exposure with national and regional racing series and expand our race track signage program. These permanent signs, or billboards, put our logo in front of the grass roots racers, the guys that buy our products and pay our wages.

Perma-Cool®, for the second year, will be a sponsor of NHRA's Be A Member Be A Winner program. This series is held in conjunction with the Sears Craftsman E.T. Racing Series which is held at 117 drag strips across the country. Each month, the names of two winners per NHRA division are randomly drawn from the list of the current month's roll call of winners. Prizes, donated by the program's 14 sponsors, are awarded through the Be a Winner Be a Member program. Each month, one lucky drag racer gets the Maxi-Cool™ Cooler and Electric Fan Module of his choice!

We will also co-sponsor, again for the second year, the 1997 Points Fund at Barberton Speedway in Norton, Ohio. The quarter mile asphalt oval track runs weekly from mid-April through September. The package includes 200 commercial spots (30 seconds) on 2 local TV stations, an 8' x 12' on-track billboard and advertising space in 40,000 season schedules.

We will continue to back the Southern Cal Super Comp Series next year with an award to the low qualifier at each race as well as sponsoring the Perma-Cool® Challenge race for the season's 8 best cars.

New Reps for the Northeast!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Murphy & Associates as our sales representatives for the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada.

Ben Murphy started his career in the automotive aftermarket in 1983, working as a manufacturer's rep for a regional agency. One of the lines represented by the firm Ben worked for was Stalco, maker of Puzzle Wheel Locks. The sales manager at Stalco was Bob Van Luven. Ben took the plunge and formed his own agency in 1987.

Ben Murphy & Associates is headquartered in Longport, New Jersey where Ben and Randy Baratz manage sales and marketing. Bob Vennard manages the branch office in Cary, North Carolina and Victor Abruna runs their other sales office in Levittown, Puerto Rico.

Perma-Cool® Web Site Continuing Construction!

Consumers who surf the World Wide Web will soon be able to view all Perma-Cool® cooling products, filtering products and related accessories on our new web site! The site, now under construction, will show all of our products in a layout similar to our Silver Anniversary Catalog. The site will use the same color images and sales copy as our catalog.

Hopefully in the future, consumers who visit the site will be asked to enter information on their particular application before viewing the catalog and an automatic application guide will show the suggested part numbers for the consumer's vehicle alongside each product that is viewed. We are still taking suggestions on how to better serve you both now and in the future.
